About Me
Nathan Garries, CFP®, EPC®, CIWM®, FCSI® has spent over twenty years continuing a family tradition of financial advising, financial planning and wealth management.
Nathan is passionate about helping clients plan for both today and tomorrow and believes that sound financial planning is essential for his clients’ peace of mind. Plans should be unique, just as each client is unique.
He transitioned from TD Canada Trust to Freedom 55 Financial, a division of London Life. As the third generation to work with London Life, it was a natural fit for his background in banking and wealth planning. Nathan has been tireless in his pursuit of education in his field, believing that securing the knowledge from earning higher credentials better helps him assist clients with their financial needs.
In that quest, he has earned the Certified Financial Planner® designation, an Elder Planning Counselor designation, and a Certified International Wealth Manager designation that covers Advanced Retirement Management, Advanced Tax and Estate Strategies and Advanced Investment Strategies.
Nathan also attained the highest honor in Canadian financial services by becoming a Fellow CSI. This is a distinction reserved for a dedicated group of financial professionals who demonstrate leadership, integrity and commitment to their clients and industry. Now, his goal is to complete his CIM® designation.
His commitment to his clients’ financial security is further demonstrated by his membership with ADVOCIS, The Financial Advisors Association of Canada, the Canadian Initiative for Elder Planning and the Financial Planning Standards Council.
Nathan and his wife Sara have two boys, Parker and Evan. The family enjoys spending time at the lake when not attending a sporting event. Nathan also enjoys golf and playing hockey.
